PRIVATE BBQ

 

Entertain a close circle of friends in a manner usually reserved for the very privileged view. A barbecue at Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate is the perfect option for an intimate and private party.  Our Chef will barbecue your favorite food, while a waiter will serve you exclusively in the privacy of your estate. It is only US$ 80 per person subject to 21% government tax and service charge for a mixed barbecue, or US$ 60 per person subject to 21% government tax and service charge for a seafood barbecue. Both prices are inclusive of a glass of house wine for each guest.

FULLMOON and NEW MOON BLESSING DINNERS

 

We offer two very unique and traditional Balinese dining experiences. The full moon cycle occurs every thirty-five days in accordance to the traditional Balinese lunar calendar and the new moon also falls every thirty-five days. These days are considered two of the holiest for followers of the Hindu faith to present special offerings to the Gods and deities. Many temple ceremonies are held on the days of the full and new moon. They are a wonderful phenomenon of nature and offer a magical dining experience under the illuminated sky. Your estate is decorated predominantly in white for the full moon and black for the new moon, with customary flags, umbrellas, flowers, flickering candles and the gentle melody of Balinese Gender music playing softly in the background. These special evenings reflect a blessing from the holy moonlight and you will be dressed in traditional Balinese ceremonial attire to mark the occasion. This is an experience you will never forget. Each Blessing Dinner is only US$ 170 subject to 21% government tax and service charges.

HIDEAWAY PICNIC LUNCH

 

Buahan Village is about ninety minutes drive from Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate and is a gorgeous spot for a picnic lunch in a secluded and natural hideaway. A group of mountains, Abang, Batukaru, Puncak Bedugul and Puncak Mangu can be seen in the distance, adding to the scenic beauty of the Ayung river valley views. The Hideaway Picnic Lunch is only US$ 160 per couple subject to 21% government tax and service charge with your choice of picnic luncheon menus.

 

 

BEACH PICNIC in KAYUMANIS PRIVATE VILLA & SPA at NUSA DUA

 

Nusa Dua beach is located within a secluded enclave about 20 minutes drive from Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate. The tropical white sand beachfront is a wonderful place to enjoy a quiet gourmet picnic, swimming, snorkeling or simply relaxing under the sun. On your way to the beach, your personal driver will escort you on a sightseeing tour of your choice. The Beach Picnic is only US$ 100 per couple subject to 21% government tax and service charge, with your choice of picnic luncheon menus. The picnic basket contains an array of refreshments and gourmet picnic favorites to enjoy while taking in the tropical ambience of Nusa Dua’s sun, sand and sea.

 

 

MARKET TOUR AND COOKING LESSON

 

A visit to a Balinese traditional market will precede a cooking lesson presented in the convenience of your own estate kitchen. Our Chef will accompany you on an eye-opening trip to a vibrant marketplace to purchase the required fresh ingredients. This special experience offers a true insight into the richness of Balinese daily life, culture and traditions as well as the exceptional flavors of Indonesian cuisine. A certificate, apron and recipes fact sheet will be presented after your meal. The Market Tour and Cooking Lesson is only US$ 160 per couple for a three-course meal, subject to 21% government tax and service charge.

 

SPIRIT BLESSING PACKAGE

 

Spirit Blessing Package is a package that established by Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate in using the special moment of the “full moon” and “new moon” to give you an unforgettable experience by having an exploration to the inner part of Bali, a sight of the isle of Gods community in maintaining their belief, a mystical purification, a fullest self surrender, a religious body cleansing and a diner under the purified sky as sacred as the vibration of full moon and new moon. Experience this once in a life time happening at only USD 360 subject to 21% government tax and service charge.

 

The aim of this package is to lift up your spirit by experiencing one of Balinese ways of life.

 

The Package consists of:

-          One day tour to a series of Balinese sacred temples

-          2 hours Spa treatment.

We depart from the estate heading up to our first destination, Batubulan, to watch barong and keris dance performance.

After watching this magical performance the trip will be continued to the sacred temple of Tirta Empul at Tampak Siring for praying and self purification.

 

At the conclusion of the purification we will continue the pilgrimage to one of the legacy of Warma Dynasty, Gunung Kawi Temple. Carved magnificently on the coral bank of Pakerisan River, the temple was built to honor King Anak Wungsu, the son of Udayana and the brother of the ancestor of Javanese King and Royal Family, Airlangga. The place is perfectly ideal for a meditation or a self contemplation.

Prior to returning to the estate we will have a short visit to Pura Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave Temple. Goa Gajah (the Elephant Cave), is located in a steep valley just outside of Ubud near the town of Bedulu. Built 700 years ago, the cave was rediscovered in the 1920’s and fully excavated 40 years later in 1969. You will get a new perspective of Balinese prosperity through the statue of Men Brayut.

 

Arriving at the Estate, the butler will escort you directly to our Spa and the therapist will serve the Cinnamon Elixir to refresh your body prior to your Spa treatment.

After your Spa treatment we will allow you to refresh prior to your Spirit Blessing Diner in your fully decorated estate and Balinese attire will complement your enlightenment day.

Yoga is a gentle form of exercise that completely relaxes and harmonizes your body, mind and soul. The practice of some asana postures will revive your physical and spiritual energies. Our Yoga Master invites you to join the classes conducted every Wednesday from 9am to 10 am in the Kalangan courtyard.

 

CYCLING

We will provide bicycles for you to explore the natural beauty of the local village independently or accompanied by a Butler. Cycling through the fishing village and down hidden village lanes is the ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in the charming surroundings and experience firsthand the timeless traditions of the Balinese people.

 

HIGH TEA

 

Complimentary refreshments and afternoon snacks are available daily in your private estate or at Tapis. You may choose to have private high tea in your private estate at your chosen time, or join the warm atmosphere of tea time at Tapis from 16.00 – 17.30 The management of Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate will be pleased to welcome you at Tapis.

 

EXCURSIONS

 

Your Butler will be happy assist you to arrange an itinerary of guided excursions to any of Bali’s famous or secret sites for either a half-day or full day trip. Our experienced and local drivers will take great pride in sharing their insight knowledge of the region with you.

Selected itineraries are prepared to cater your interests. Each excursion is only Rp.175,000 per hour subject to 21% government tax and service charge including refreshments.

CITY TOUR

Museum Bali is a well-known destination on the eastern edge of Puputan town square.

Pura Jagatnatha is a temple next to the museum founded in the 1970’s.

Taman Budaya or Art Center has a number of different services and events, the most famous being the Art Festival that is held every year in June or July, but a visit is worthwhile any day.

Kumbasari Market is Bali’s biggest traditional art market and is located on the eastern bank of the Badung River.

 

 

EXOTIC WEST BALI EXPLORATION TOUR

 

Tanah Lot is a stunning sea temple built on a large rock cut off from the mainland at high tide. This location offers one of Bali’s most spectacular sunsets, so don’t forget your camera!

Animal lovers won’t want to miss Alas Kedaton - a forest enclave that is home to many playful monkeys.

 

 

DRAMATIC ULUWATU TOUR

 

Uluwatu known as one of the six major temples in Bali which called Sad Khayangan Jagat. Located on top of Balinese southern peninsula, this temple was built by a Hindu Priest Mpu Kuturan, and his creation was continued by Danghyang Nirarta, another Hindu priest from another era to its fullness of its own perfection. By having this tour we will take you closer to the fully exploration about Balinese culture. Besides, we will also take you to some breathtaking spot of the richness of natural of Bali. We will leave the Estate at 15:00 hrs with our comfortable vehicle. On the way to Uluwatu, we will take you to GARUDA WISNU KENCANA, a huge complex of some tourism activities, centralized by the great Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue on the cliff top where you can see the beautiful site of the southern Bali Coast Line. After spending some time at Garuda Wisnu Kencana, we will take you to Dream Land Beach where you can see the deep blue clear water of the Pacific Ocean as a surfer’s paradise.

 

We provide long chair on the beach for you to relax and enjoy the meal prepared by our chef while you get a sincere welcome by local people. We continue the journey to the main destination, Uluwatu Temple after spending about an hour in the Dream Land Beach. Villagers will welcome you at the Uluwatu Temple where they put on sash around your waist to respect the community and the temple itself. We will take you around the temple to see the great creation of Balinese in the ancient time and stand still facing the modernity that come along the way.

After a temple tour for about half an hour we will end up in a small coliseum , sitting in half circle with the crowd and awaiting the classical theatre of Ramayana epic to be presented at the open air stage back grounded by the orange-pink sky when the sun touching the horizon.

 

Ramayana is the oldest Hindu epic that we have long before Mahabharata was born by the cool hand and the experience of Bhagawan Wyasa that come from his long soul traveling. And after we sink in an illustration of the Alengka War and the fire works, we will return to the Estate around 19:00 hrs, with a new knowledge for you about Balinese Culture and Religion.  It is really worth to try for you who wish to discover Bali deeper. And for all of those activities you only need to spend USD 50++ per person.

FISHING TOUR

 

Bali southern coast line is a legendary place in Balinese tourism industry. So many beautiful spots along the coastal and inviting foreigners to come, watch and stay. Bali southern coast line is not only rich for its breathtaking sight seeing, it is also rich of other natural resources. Many fisherman villages is still exist along the coast line as a sign that the deep blue sea provide a lot of natural resources since the ancient time of Bali. For centuries people live as a farmer and fisherman to fulfill their need. They believe that the richness of the ocean is also one of the generosity of the God of Baruna that they pray for.  In experiencing the true fisherman way of life in the middle of the beautifulness of the Tropical Island of God, we would like to invite you for a fishing tour, that can be your first time in life catching a fish by your own hand and our chef will be ready to cook and served it for you. You have two choices to make, The Sun Rise Fishing Tour or The Sun Set Fishing Tour which will take you about 4 hours each. You will go on board with a jukung ( a Balinese outrigger boat ), with your butler and a fishing expert who know exactly the location and the way of a good fishing activities.

All of the equipment will be on our responsibilities, and what you have to bring is only a swim suit. Along the cruise we will pass the beautiful beach of Padang – Padang, the beauty of Suluban Beach and the famous Dream Land Beach. You also can see the Uluwatu Temple staring magnificently on the top of the highest cliff on the southern coast line. On one of those beautiful beach, we will have a short stop to serve your delicious food that already provided by our chef. All of those great experiences will only cost you for USD 120++ per couple.

CULTURAL HERITAGE TOUR (GIANYAR REGENCY)

 

Goa Gajah or elephant cave dates back to the 11th century and there are conflicting opinions as to whether this cave was originally of Buddhist or Hindu heritage. The cave features some interesting carvings. Pura Gunung Kawi is set in a ravine in Tampaksiring, the temples Candis are carved into the rock face. There are five Royal Tombs at the rear of the temple complex.

Pura Tirta Empul is considered Bali’s holiest spring. Balinese seeking mental cleansing and physical healing frequently visit this temple.

 

RICE TERRACE & EXOTIC VOLCANO TOUR

 

This tour also takes you to Goa Gajah as well as Tegalalang, with stunning views of the rice-terraces. Tenganan, a Bali Aga village is home to Bali’s indigenous community and is renowned as a centre for weaving. It is the only place in Indonesia where traditional ‘geringsing’ cloth is made. Candi Dasa is a charming seaside township where you can explore the coastal bays and ancient temples that dot the eastern end of Bali. Taman Ujung Water Palace is set in a beautiful landscaped park, the ruins of this palace are a tribute to the slightly eccentric designs of King Anak Agung Ngurah. Tirta Gangga, about 4 miles from Amlapura is a water palace built in 1948 by the last King of Karangasem. The entire area was damaged during the 1963 volcanic eruption of Mount Agung but has been gradually restored. A main attraction is the public baths where the water is believed to be holy with healing properties.

 

A JOURNEY TO THE PAST

 

For hundreds of centuries, after the Mongoloid found the land of Bali ending a long expedition from Tonkin, the next Chinese generation still maintaining a good relationship with the Balinese Community in keeping the value of a friendship.  In year of 700 AD, the Buddha’s first legacy was built in District of Banjar – Singaraja, Bali, that still exist until today. And based on folklore, in the 11th century, the King of Bali / Dalem Balingkang, named Sri Kesari Warmadewa had a Chinese wife named Tang Chi Keng, from Chung Dynasty. The marriage between the two was told in Barong Landung dance that still can be seen in Bali to date, and their palace is now become Dalem Balingkang Temple located in the western part of Panelokan and eastern part of Penulisan Slope in the Regency of Bangli.

Things that left as the legacy of the mixing of two different culture is “The Art of Terracotta”. Since long ago, China is a well known country that produces the greatest ceramic and terracotta the world ever has. And it is also influencing the Balinese culture since we make our good relationship with china trough trading and friendship. Not only the assembled terracotta that become the legacy, but also the technique in making the terracotta is become our tradition nowadays.

 

In finding the trace of the almost forgotten tradition of terracotta, we would like to invite you for a tour activity and see directly the process of making the terracotta by our traditional way at one of the village name Kapal, that consistently maintaining the tradition in making any form of tools that familiar in our community life since centuries. In the process of making the terracotta, you even can participate and make your own terracotta as Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore did at the Ghost Story.

The tour will be performed starting at 15:00n hours, after you have a day of traditional farming education in the village of Tunjuk to complete your experience about the old Balinese way of life. Tunjuk is a well known area in Tabanan Regency, a regency with a title “The Bali Rice Warehouse”.

So, farming is the thing that almost everybody in Tabanan do for living at the past, and the traditional drainage system “Subak” is never been dry for all along the year because of the slope of Batukaru always producing the crystal clear water supported by the three ancient lakes of Bratan, Buyan and Tamblingan.

DRIVING

 

Keep alert when driving and be aware of motorbikes. It is best to rent a car with full insurance as it will save time and money if you are involved in an accident. Always drive and ride on the left hand side of the road.

 

ATTENDING CEREMONIES

 

Religious guidelines:

  1. Always wear a sarong and sash.
  2. Do not walk in front of people praying.
  3. Do not use a flash on your camera or point your camera into the priest’s face.
  4. Never sit higher than the priest or the offerings.
  5. At a cremation, do not get in the way of attendees.
  6. Women are not allowed to enter temples during their period.
  7. When attending special ceremonies or anniversaries as a guest, small donations are gratefully received.

 

DANGEROUS SPORTS

 

Make sure you either have personal insurance or travel insurance that will cover any accidents.

 

MONEY CHANGERS

 

Please be careful when changing your money. Check the exchange rate and the money changer’s commission if any. Most importantly, always count your money in front of the teller prior to leaving the premises. It is also advisable to bring your own calculator, as the one used by some money changers can be a little inaccurate.

 

PETTY CRIME 

  1. Hide your money in a money belt or hold onto your handbag tightly.
  2. When changing large amounts of money, please check each note carefully as there are a number of noticeable counterfeit notes in circulation.
  3. When trying on garments do not remove your jewelry. Give it to a friend or store it in the estate’s safe.
